New nEWS

Finally I have time to update my news.

I am JUST ABOUT READY FOR ONE YEAR IN 2018 – WEEK 1
27–30 JUNE.

Take a look at my profile on www.textilecurator.com.
Another talented textile artist in our Graduate Showcase is Kate Whitehead. This collection is based on adoption and her journey to locate her birth mother.

While I am exhibiting in One Year In at New Designers I will be featured  on Friday 29 June for The Crafts Council Maker of the Week feature on the website and across social media for Directory makers.

I am delighted to have been selected to create an installation for an  exhibition, and future exhibitions within the 'For Futures sake' tour. For Futures sake' is to promote the use of sustainable materials, whether that is within the theme of the work, or, the materials sourced. It  is based on eco resourcing, sustainable materials and found objects.
Living in such a throw away society, what can be done to change our future? how can we educate the next generation to think of ways to reuse materials and extend the life of the beautiful planet we live on?
The location and venue of the exhibition is a temporary pop up Gallery space in a large space, previously used as offices. The Space is Located in Horsforth, Leeds and is also being used by artists and community art groups. The Space is supplied and supported by both East Street Arts and Skippko
